| HotDrop makes it possible for you transfer files or folders with or without launching WS_FTP Pro. Simply drag and drop files into the HotDrop folder and it connects, authenticates, and makes the file transfer to the FTP server and folder you specify. There's no limit to the amount of HotDrops you can setup. |
| Multi-part download feature allows WS_FTP Pro to split a large file (recommended for file size over 1MB) into multiple parts and use multiple transfer connections to download those parts simultaneously. These parts are recombined into a single file upon receipt. This maximizes bandwidth utilization on your side and on the server side.

| Active Edit makes it possible for you to edit files on ftp sites using your favorite software. It enables you to associate an application with a file type. For example: .HTML files can be opened and edited in Microsoft® FrontPage when selected; .JPG,.GIF, .BMP, can be opened and edited in Adobe® Photoshop when selected; etc.. Once the file is edited, you have the option to save it on the server or specify when the changed file should be uploaded or discarded. With Active Edit, you'll no longer need to constantly re-upload files every time there is an edit made. |

| Once you start an FTP connection, WS_FTP Pro automatically dials up to connect to the Internet. Once you close WS_FTP Pro, the dial-up session is automatically terminated, as well. You no longer need to wait for a large file download so you can terminate you dial-up session, or even shutdown your computer. |
